The MoonKii Journey
Boost your well-being with a modern, eco-friendly design
It all began in November 2019, while I was seven months pregnant.
A few days after giving birth to my first child in 2017, a friend of Vietnamese origin told me about an ancient ritual: placing warm rice pouches on a mother's belly to promote healing and recovery.
Being curious and pragmatic, I did some research on this practice and the healing properties of rice. Conversations with health professionals only confirmed its many benefits.
From emotional comfort to helping internal organs reposition themselves after childbirth — and even supporting a healthier digestive system — the effects were impressive.
I was instantly drawn to the idea of blending two seemingly opposite worlds — the ancient and the modern — to harness their combined strength.
That’s how the MoonKii adventure began.
It was important to me to create a product that blends tradition and natural wellness, to help women navigate the post-partum journey with comfort and care. I wanted it to become their best ally — a comforting companion during such a crucial life stage.
In 2018, I began sketching the first patterns and creating prototypes. I refined the shape, working on every detail. This creative phase was so energizing, and by 2019 — while pregnant with my second child — I began drafting the patent.
It was a huge task. A year of writing, research, and sleepless nights… until finally, I filed the patent with the INPI on January 15, 2020 — just days before giving birth.
MoonKii feels like my third baby, arriving alongside my second. In fact, it was my first prototype that supported me right after that delivery — and I loved it.
That’s when I realized it needed to be not just functional, but beautiful and comforting. A soft, elegant design was key to making it a true “emotional cocoon” for daily use.
After a few twists and turns (not to mention COVID), almost three years later, in 2023 — the news came in:
MoonKii is officially patented!
As an engineer, I continued developing MoonKii alongside my full-time job… until February 2024, when everything aligned and I finally dedicated myself to it fully. That’s when it all started to accelerate.
I now know exactly what I want: To share this tradition with new moms — and with every woman experiencing digestive discomfort or painful periods — so they can reclaim their comfort and feel at peace in their bodies.
